Depart Fes early and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane and the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Continue through scenic landscapes, palm groves, and Berber villages via Errachidia and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara Desert, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay near the dunes.
After breakfast, explore the Merzouga Desert, visiting local nomad families and the village of Khamlia, known for its traditional Gnawa music. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, witnessing a spectacular sunset before reaching a desert camp for dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
Wake early to admire the sunrise over the Sahara, then travel through Rissani and Tinghir to the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco’s most impressive natural sites. After lunch, continue to the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations and kasbahs, with dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
After breakfast, depart the Dades Valley toward Ouarzazate, passing through the Valley of Roses and Skoura palm groves. Visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arriving in Marrakesh in the evening.
