After breakfast, depart from Zagora toward Alnif through the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Afrdou Mountain, a famous Cambrian fossil site known for its trilobites. You will also visit nearby azurite mineral mines and learn about local fossil extraction. Lunch will be in the desert before continuing fossil exploration. In the evening, arrive in Alnif, check into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and overnight.
Today you travel through Rissani into the Kem Kem fossil region, one of the most important fossil areas in Morocco. Visit Isoumour, known for its Devonian trilobites, and explore nearby fossil sites with ammonites and goniatites. Continue toward Merzouga and admire the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Merzouga.
Early departure south of Erg Chebbi to visit the fossil sites near Ebagaa, where dinosaur teeth and bones are found. Continue to Taouz and after lunch follow the old mining route to explore the Filon 12 mineral mines, known for vanadinite, barite, and iron. In the afternoon, drive back to Zagora, where the tour ends.
