Day 1 – Arrival in Casablanca
Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, you can relax or start your Morocco fossil hunting tour immediately. Evening at leisure.
Day 2 – Casablanca – Azrou – Timahdite – Midelt
After breakfast, travel toward Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enjoy lunch in the cedar forest. Then, visit the Michlifen extinct volcano, known for volcanic formations. Later, explore a Jurassic fossil site near Timahdite with brachiopods and bivalves. If time allows, stop at a Cretaceous site near Bakrit, famous for black shark teeth. Overnight in Midelt.

Day 6 – Merzouga – Fossil Sites – Merzouga
Today is dedicated to Devonian fossils. Collect goniatites made of goethite and pyritized fossils, along with enrolled Devonian trilobites. Enjoy lunch in a sacred palm oasis. In the afternoon, explore the Safsaf Cretaceous site for sand roses, fish, crocodile, and dinosaur fossils. Return to the desert hotel in the evening.
Day 7 – Merzouga – Boutchrafine – Alnif
Drive toward Erfoud to visit the famous crinoid quarry, where fossil extraction can be observed. Collect Devonian trilobites at Mount Boutchrafine. After a picnic, visit a fossil factory to see how large blocks are cut into decorative items. Continue to Alnif for overnight (half-board).
