Crossing then the magnificent off-road of ‘1000 Kasbahs’, which is only accessible by 4×4, passing by magnificent Berber villages like “Boutaghrar.” Additionally, you will have the chance to interact with some Berber nomads who reside in the grotto (caves). This spot is one of Morocco’s pioneer sport climbing destinations, and is home to approximately 400 climbs ranging from single-pitch top-ropes to 10-pitch adventures up the incredible walls of the narrow gorge. Fixed protection on popular sectors is generally excellent, and there is a good selection of long mixed sport routes for those in search of more adventure. Then proceed to Tinjdad for lunch. After that, take the road through Arfoud, where you will discover marble and fossils before arriving to Merzouga. Desert caravan camel will be waiting for you for an adventure in the Erg Chebbi dunes. We come back to Merzouga afterward to ski down on some of the gear that we rented from a guy who must be the largest single owner of ski equipment on the continent. Skiing on sand is not nearly as fun as it looks; there is a reason that there are no resorts set up in the desert, on a real adventure in the middle of desert dunes.

It is highly popular with both foreign tourists and Moroccan ski enthusiasts. Of course, it is not only a place for skiing, but is also a lovely place to walk or take the ski-lifts for the sake of the wonderful views of the High Atlas. Later on, we drive to Marrakesh via the Ourika Valley, full of Berber gardens, fields, and orchards of apples, pears, pomegranates, and walnuts.
